5 Sewell INEOS Grenadier A new Sewell INEOS Grenadier dealership is opening soon in Plano, according to a news release. Sewell was selected as a charter dealer for INEOS Grenadier and is one of only 19 dealerships in the U.S. INEOS Grenadier is a new automotive brand and a subsidiary of U.K.-based INEOS, a global petrochemical company. 6 Kroger Marketplace Construction officially began on a new Kroger Marketplace store in north Plano. The 124,000-square- foot store at the southwest corner of SH 121 and Coit Road broke ground on Sept. 20. The store is scheduled to open in late 2024 and is expected to create 100-150 jobs in the area, according to a press release from Kroger Co. The new Kroger Marketplace will be replacing the existing store across the street, located at 9700 Coit Road. Along with a full-service grocery, the new location will feature a Starbucks kiosk, Murray’s Cheese counter, 18 fueling stations, a pharmacy and more. 3 Hideaway Pizza Hideaway Pizza was set to open a new location in Plano Oct. 17, as of this publication’s press time. The restaurant offers different signature pizzas, including a build-your-own pizza with dozens of topping combinations. Hideaway Pizza also has pastas and sandwiches on the menu. 1 Discovery Montessori Academy The school opened in the first week of October, office manager Maggie Carson said. Discovery Montessori will serve students up to age 6, with an after-school program for students from kindergarten to fifth grade. The school also offers weekend Chinese classes. 7 Chick-fil-A The Chick-fil-A on the corner of SH 121 and Preston Road in Plano is set to move just down the road, a company representative said. The restaurant is set to move south from 8724 Preston Road to 8501 Preston Road Oct. 26. Chick-fil-A is known for its original chicken sandwich and waffle fries. The chain also serves chicken nuggets, lemonade, milkshakes, salads and more.
