The details According to agenda documents, three signifi- cant changes have been proposed for the 2024-25 code of conduct, including the implementation of a “levels” system and corresponding disciplinary action based on violation level. The code also reflects the role of EISD’s police force in discipline and establishes a rule that direct violence threats trigger automatic Disciplinary Alternative Education Program placement. The board could take action during the June 18 board meeting.

Per the Texas Legislature, sponsors—or the board of trustees, in this case—are authorized to create PFC’s to finance, construct and equip public facilities such as administrative offices, education buildings or affordable housing options for teachers. “This is simply one more tool now that we have to potentially do something exciting for our staff at some point in the future,” Superintendent Jeff Arnett said.
