2 David Memorial Drive extension Project: A project to extend David Memorial Drive to Hwy. 242 began in September under the terms of an interlocal agreement between the city of Shenandoah and Montgomery County. Update: The project is underway, and the portion of the extension that will cross the Conroe city limits will be completed when funding is secured, according to engineer John Bleyl. • Timeline: September-July • Cost: $7.8 million • Funding sources: city of Shenandoah, Montgomery County
5 Grogans Mill Road and Research Forest Drive turn lane extension Project: The project is extending the deceleration lane from westbound Research Forest Drive onto northbound Grogans Mill Road. Update: Project engineer John Bleyl said as of Feb. 7 bids were being prepared for the project to begin in March. • Timeline: January2023-spring 2024 • Cost: $240,000 • Funding sources: Montgomery County Precinct 2, TxDOT 4 Grogans Mill Road and Research Forest Drive eastbound turn lane extension Project: Montgomery County Precinct 3 extended the right-turn lane on eastbound Research Forest Drive turning onto southbound Grogans Mill Road to relieve congestion, according to a news release. Update: Work on the project was scheduled to be completed in January. • Timeline: November-January • Cost: $365,613 • Funding source: Montgomery County Precinct 3

3 Hwy. 242 widening Project: The Texas Department of Transportation is using existing right of way on Hwy. 242 between FM 1488 and I-45 to widen lanes and restripe the intersections. Update: The project began in October, and the contractor is working on zones consisting of about three intersections at a time, from the north to the south side, according to TxDOT. As of a February update, the project was 8% complete, according to TxDOT. • Timeline: Oct. 23, 2023-irst quarter 2026 • Cost: $28.67 million • Funding sources: federal, state funds
1 Robinson Road realignment Project: The project will align Robinson Road across Hanna Road. Update: Construction on the project was expected to begin in February, and in November Oak Ridge North City Council approved a $2 million estimate for work on realigning a portion of the Union Paci c Railroad as part of the project. • Timeline: February-late 2024 • Cost: $7.42 million • Funding source: city of Oak Ridge North
