Why are you running for this position?

I feel there is a need for a voice that can represent all members of the community. I have children that are school age; I use the park and city services often; and as a member of [Rollingwood City Development Corp.], help bring business to the city. As a result, I think I have a deep understanding of the city issues and how to correct [them] now and in the future.

I am running to help preserve Rollingwood as a quiet residential neighborhood with lots of green space. We love Rollingwood— it’s our home. I believe in public service. Some neighbors asked me to run. I believe I have the skills, the education and the ex- perience to make a positive di‰erence. I believe I can improve the dialogue and help the council –nd common ground and positive solutions.

Serving on City Council has been my form of community service. I have seen how my education and experience in civil engineering and running a small business is relevant to the needs of the city, and I would like to continue serving the city in this capacity.

What are your major areas of concern for the city?

Infrastructure improvements, park upkeep and city drainage

I would like to preserve Rollingwood from over-development. I would like to keep commercial activities out of the park. I would like to see thoughtful development of the commercial corridor on Bee Caves Road that brings new business but respects the peace and quiet of the adjacent. I would like to see a stronger ethics policy and a con˜icts of interest policy; more open gov- ernment and transparency.

The city has a number of infrastructure challenges that need to be addressed, including water system improvements and drainage issues. We need to build on the recent work on our comprehensive plan by reviewing our residential building code and making revisions necessary to safeguard the aspects of our community that attracted us all to the neighborhood.

If elected, what is your No. 1 priority to address?

If elected, I intend to dedicate a large percent[age] of my e‰ort to helping thoughtfully develop the Rollingwood business cor- ridor on Bee Caves to ensure the city has funding for infrastruc- ture and park improvements.

I want to continue to represent the interests of the residents of Rollingwood in whatever comes before us on council. We are faced with aging infrastructure, redevelopment issues, a‰ordability for our longtime residents. Rollingwood has been a wonderful place to live and raise a family. I want to be sure it continues to be so.

I would like to protect the character of the park as a neighbor- hood park. I do not think we need to attract more people and tra™c from outside Rollingwood to the park.
