Luxury jewelry company Korman has expanded its o erings with the latest opening of The Jewel House. The three-story location combines the com- pany’s physical products with an inviting atmo- sphere and personalized shopping experience. The backstory The Austin-area business has been providing jewelry for special occasions since 1973 and was purchased by Kat Stokes and her husband, Larry Stokes, in 2018. The couple previously worked in the jewelry sector together and were looking for an opportu- nity to establish roots in the city both personally and professionally. What they oer Customers can nd a curated selection of brands including Rolex, Tudor, Jade Trau, Oscar Heyman and Single Stone. In addition to buying new time- pieces, rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings, community members can meet with in-house jewelers for repairs, resizing and professional cleaning. Shoppers can enjoy co ee and drinks and sched- ule a private appointment for jewelry shopping or bridal shopping. The company also has a partner- ship with Da Beers origin program where clients can trace their diamonds from where they were mined from. Kat Stokes said the duo aimed to make a storefront that was accessible from all parts of the city as well as craft an environment for community members to feel at home. “The mantra of the project was we wanted you to feel like you are sitting in the living room of our house and there just happened to be jewelry around,” Kat Stokes said. “We wanted our clients to come in and feel comfortable.” What else? Kat Stokes said the best part of the job is being part of so many people’s special occasions. Throughout her time with the company, she’s helped repurposed meaningful jewelry for clients facing the challenges of losing a loved one and shaped custom bracelets for mothers wanting a physical reminder of their children. “That is what gives me life and what has driven us to the point where we are now is because it is such an honor and it's such a joy to be a part of Korman brings ne jewelry experience with The Jewel House launch
