Family-owned quesabirria restaurant thrives in Kyle Austin-based birria food truck-turned-restau- rant Love C Spot is family-owned by Cinci Tobias and her husband Santos Tobias, along with their two children. “We’re like, ‘Dude, what are we [going to] do with all this birria?’” Santos Tobias said.

Love C Spot’s birria plate ($16) comes with three birria tacos, rice and beans.

Cinci Tobias posted online oering to make free taco plates for anyone who was interested. One thing led to another, and the duo began making and selling birria tacos out of their home. On the menu With over 56 items on its menu, Love C Spot sells quesabirria tacos, crunch wraps, autas, nachos, quesadillas, tortas and more. Everything on the menu is also customizable. Cinci Tobias said Love C Spot’s authenticity in their birria recipe—which is from Cinci Tobias’ grandmother Ninfa Sharp, who was from Guadala- jara, Mexico—is what makes them stand out.

The food truck opened its rst location in South Austin in 2021, then opened a second location in Kyle in 2023. Love C Spot is now a restaurant located inside the Bread Basket corner store on Bebee Road. The full story Cinci and Santos Tobias were scrolling through Instagram, watching dierent food videos before coming across a video of someone making birria. After a late night run to HEB in 2019, the couple returned home with ingredients to make birria, and the next day realized they made too much.
