City of Boerne announces changes to garbage & recycling collection schedule Starting January 5, 2026 , garbage and recycling collections will move to the same day for City of Boerne residential customers.
For most customers, your recycling day will simply move to your current garbage collection day. For others, the two collections will be moved to the same day, but it could be a different day than your current collection schedule. Please note: These changes are separate from any temporary holiday-related scheduling changes.
MOST CUSTOMERS Customers who live outside the Herff Ranch subdivision will simply have your recycling day moved to the same day as your current garbage collection day. For example, if you currently have recycling picked up on Tuesday and garbage picked up on Wednesday, both collections would now be on Wednesday.
HERFF RANCH Customers who live in the Herff Ranch subdivision will have both recycling and garbage collection moved to Thursday, regardless of your current collection schedule. The first collection for Herff Ranch on the new schedule will be Thursday, January 8, 2026. The change was made to ensure defined neighborhoods, such are yours, remained on the same day.
Collections on the new schedule begin the week of Monday, January 5, 2026.
