A portion of Coee Heaven’s sales goes to the nonprot Cotton Top Project, which supports Proyecto Tití in Colombia, an eort to protect and restore cotton-top tamarin habitats. Coee Heaven even has its own representative for the species: Ambassador Tai, a four-year-old cotton-top tamarin who was donated to Fokken. Tai was born in the United States and is a descen- dant of cotton-top tamarins used for colon cancer research.

Cuernavaca resident Brandon Fokken has brought something new to the local coee scene with Coee Heaven, serving Colombian coee out of a vintage Jeep with a one-pound monkey to spread its message of selling “coee with a cause.” The mobile business ocially opened this year and can be found at events around the Austin metro. Coee Heaven operates out of a 1952 Willys Jeep, a symbol of Colombian coee culture as they were used to transport coee beans through the country’s rugged mountain terrain. “[The Jeep] is such an integral part of the coee culture in Colombia,” Fokken said.
