1 FM 2252 Expansion Project: This roadway will expand from two lanes to four lanes with a raised median and a continuous left- turn lane. Bike lanes, sidewalks and a grade-separated Union Pacific Railroad Crossing will also be added. Update: Contract is working on Phase 2 of the railroad crossing bridge. All drilled shafts are complete and column construction is underway. • Timeline: The project is estimated to be completed in 2027. • Cost: $48.5 million • Funding source: Texas Department of Transportation, or TxDOT 2 San Antonio Street/Water Lane Project: The stretch of road from I-35 to San Antonio Street and West San Antonio Street—from Krueger Avenue to Loop 337—will be rehabilitated. A sidewalk will also be added.
