Parents nd supportive space at Tot Box Play Cafe As an indoor playground and coee shop, Tot Box Play Cafe in Round Rock has invited parents and children to nd community in its comforting space since November 2023. The backstory oering reservation times for interested individu- als to experience the space.
The cafe oers a coee counter and reservable playground as well as party packages for events.
“It was something that I was missing and I knew that it’s kind of like, ‘Build it and my people will nd me’,” Reynoso-Bivens said. What makes it special? Reynoso-Bivens said in addition to the commu- nity aspect of the space, the cafe has been a setting for special milestones, including a baby’s rst steps and rst birthday parties. Owner Suzette Reynoso-Bivens became a mother in 2021 and felt a lack of support after moving away from home in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. “I felt very lonely and isolated, and I would go online and chat with all these online mom Face- book groups to try to connect with other moms,” Reynoso-Bivens said. With support from her family and friends, she opened the business on Mays Street and began
