Main Street build timeline extended The deadline for a portion of Lakeway’s Main Street to be completed was pushed back another year at the city’s July 21 city council meeting. The overview The Square at Lakeway is a residential project within City Center that has a commercial component, which includes in its plans an extension of Main Street and Lohmans Spur, according to city documents. An extended deadline for completion of Main Street was included in the amendment passed July 21, pushing the completion date from this June to June 2026. Delays stemmed from complications related to local water districts and developers. Two previous amendments were also made in 2023 and 2024 due to similar issues.

play area and parking. An amendment to the zoning change also put a 330-unit limitation on the number of new multi- family units able to be built. As of press time, real estate law firm Drenner Group and Brandywine Realty Trust did not respond to requests for comment.
