The East Austin location will offer walk-up service with outdoor seating and a food truck on-site. www.zedsicecream.com 4 Allegiant Travel Co. will launch an operations base at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport’s South Terminal this November. The Las Vegas-based airline will bring a $75 million investment to the area and expand hours and flight offerings out of Austin. Allegiant has offered flights from ABIA since 2013, with flights traveling in and out of the south terminal since 2017. www.allegiantair.com 5 HOPE Outdoor Gallery —which previously oversaw the Graffiti Park in Central Austin from 2011-19—is set to open its new park and cultural center this summer in Southeast Austin on Dalton Lane. The gallery will feature murals by local artists, technology displays and sculptures, gardens and an apiary, according to a March 31 news release. The gallery will also include retail and community spaces. Food and beverages will be sold at the gallery, while repurposed and renovated shipping containers will be used as gallery spaces for local artists and office spaces for nonprofits and service organizations. www.hopeoutdoorgallery.com 6 North Austin restaurant Komé Sushi Kitchen has plans to open an outpost inside Austin-Bergstrom International Airport called Sushi-A-Go-Go by Komé . The airport location will be run by HMSHost, a food and beverage company that specializes in airport eateries. Komé Director of Operations Elizabeth Hyman said an opening date has not yet been set. www.kome-austin.com 7 An additional portion of the Southeast Greenway in the Mueller development is starting construction this spring. The 28.5-acre public green space will include a skate park, more than a mile of trails and a large open field. A previously developed portion of the Southeast Greenway includes a large pond that collects and filters stormwater. The park will be bracketed by Manor Road, an extension of
