BE A PART OF IT ALL! Any Business or Community member interested in exploring a partnership with a PfISD CTE program may contact: Amber Ham, CTE Specialist amber.ham@pfisd.net or 512-594-0193. • Provide teacher professional learning through an externship (days or week-long, generally in summer) • Serve as an Industry Leadership Council member (meet 2-3 times yearly to review program quality, suggest updates, talk with teachers/students) • Mentor student(s), providing employability skill training, postsecondary guidance, industry expertise • Sponsor a CareerTechnical Student Organization (CTSO) by providing time and/or resources to prepare for competitions. • Hire a student as an intern. • Serve as a panelist to evaluate student projects • Share industry knowledge as a guest speaker • Participate in career fairs, REAL World Pflugerville Career Connections event • Co-teach a lesson with a CTE teacher, in an area of expertise • Train CTE Student Ambassadors on employability skills (resume writing, interviews, public speaking, networking, etc.)
