Hutto pickleball courts coming soon New pickleball courts, originally planned for Creekside Park, will now be built adja- cent to the elds at Riverwalk Soccer Field Park. Hutto City Council approved a project order for the work May 1. The details The total estimated budget for the pickleball courts is $1.6 million , according to city documents. City Council passed an individual project order for survey and geotechnical professional services that contractor Clark Condon determined necessary after the initial design phase. The contractor found the original location at Creekside Park unsuitable after site eval- uations due to its proximity to residential homes and potential noise impacts.

The Texas State Library and Archives Commissions’s Pugerville site is expected to be complete by fall 2027.

New $210M archive facility breaks ground The Texas State Library and Archives Commis- sion, in partnership with the Texas Facilities Com- mission, broke ground on a $210 million archival and records storage facility in Pugerville this week. Overview The 242,000-square-foot facility will house the

commission’s State and Local Record Management Division, Archives and Information Services Divisions, and the Talking Book Program, according to a news release. The center will replace the existing storage facility on Shoal Creek Boulevard in Austin, and construc- tion is expected to wrap up by the fall of 2027. The project was funded by the 88th Texas Legislature. In addition to housing agency oces, the center will double the commission’s storage capacity while reserving space for future growth on the new site on Riggins Bend Road in Pugerville.

Aordable housing project coming to Pugerville Branchview Apartments, an aordable housing initiative in Pugerville, will move forward with construction after receiving approval from Travis County Commissioners Court on May 20 for Low Income Housing Tax Credits from the Texas Depart- ment of Housing and Community Aairs. The breakdown Located at 14411 Immanuel Road, Pugerville, in unincorporated Travis County, Branchview Apartments will include 330 units with an estimated rent of $1,250 to $1,592 . These rates amount to 24% lower than the average market rate for other rental prices in the same zip code. Although the development has a Pugerville address, the area is not incorporated into the city, meaning the county has ultimate jurisdiction.
