3 FM 1097 widening The widening project on FM 1097 between Lake Conroe Hills Drive and Blueberry Hills Road was 22% completed as of a June 6 update from TxDOT. The project widens FM 1097 in Willis from two to four lanes with a continuous left turn lane. Another $14.86 million widening project on FM 1097 between Anderson Road and Lake Conroe Hills Drive is 99% complete. Timeline: second quarter 2022-first quarter 2024 Cost: $16.1 million Funding sources: TxDOT, federal 4 FM 2854 improvements TxDOT crews are working on an overlay project on FM 2854 between Hwy. 105 and the San Jacinto River. The project, which was 23% completed as of a June 6 update, includes repairing the road surface and adding turn lanes at Hwy. 105 and Collier Cemetery, Deer Lake Lodge and Ponderosa roads. Timeline: January 2023-first quarter 2024 Cost: $10.41 million Funding source: TxDOT
