Additional assets the development brings is the interest in increased projects in the area and creating a community that can “thrive,” Cheney said. He estimated the project will bring a $2.5 billion economic impact over the next 30 years. “This is going to be a generational project that generations of Frisco residents and visitors are going to come to enjoy,” he said. The hotel is slated for opening in spring 2023.

The hotel will also feature a lobby courtyard with steps from an elevated arrival area down through a series of gathering spaces, such as # re pits, as well as water features and oak trees. “It really welcomes the golf course into the hotel,” Bruce Wright of SB Architects said. It is part of the 600-acre, mixed-use development the Professional Golfers Association of America will unveil as it moves its headquarters from Palm Beach County, Florida, to Frisco.
