What are the top challenges residents face in District 3, and how do you plan to address them?

What are the top challenges now facing residents in District 15, and how do you plan to address them?

I believe my No. 1 priority in oce should be to signicantly lower property tax, accomplished through a strong cap on state spending and reallocating surplus revenue to reduce school district maintenance and oper- ation tax. I will always ght to lower taxes for Texans. We must secure our border to stop human tracking and illegal immigration; our nation is depending on us. We must give our Border Patrol the power to arrest, detain and deport.

We must pass legislation making the chief ap- praiser an elected ocial accountable to the people, coupled with capping all real property ... at 5% and requiring half the surplus budget revenue be paid to reduce local property taxes. Additionally, while border security is a federal obligation, the fed’s abdication impacts us all. I’ll continue carrying and sup- porting legislation funding [Texas Department of Public Safety] and State Guard troops at the border, building the wall, and strengthen our ability to use state criminal trespass laws.

The ght against incorporation of The Woodlands Township was defeated by nearly 70%. I am the only candidate in this race who stood against incorporation, and I stand against bigger government and high- er taxes. Conroe ISD is overwhelmed with growth while maintaining high academics and accountability. Education is my passion, and I will champion adequate public educa- tion funding. I am the only candidate who worked to pass CISD school bonds to keep up with growth.

Exorbitantly high property taxes are strangling Texas families and businesses. Arbitrary and capricious property valua- tions by appraisal districts are neither fair nor equitable. The current system needs to be eliminated in favor of a fair tax.
