WHAT IS THE BEST TIME OF DAY IN THE SUMMER TO GET LANDSCAPING TASKS DONE? Beat the heat. The mornings before noon are always best to get landscaping tasks completed. The summer heat can zap your energy very quickly, especially if you are directly in the sun. If you ... have shaded areas around your house, try to stay in them as much as possible. WHAT ARE HOMEOWNERS’ BIGGEST MISTAKES WHEN SELF LANDSCAPING? One of the biggest mistakes when doing any DIY landscaping is failing to plan for the future when it comes to maintenance. WHAT ARE SOME DESIGN CHANGES YOU HAVE SEEN THIS YEAR? We’ve seen a shift toward mixing nishes, materials and furniture that aren’t all a perfect match. We’ve seen this a lot on exterior home selections. This approach to design creates interest and layers, which we love.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RECENT TRENDS IN INTERIOR DESIGN? We are seeing a resurgence of saturated colors, which has been a refreshing change from the recent trend of neutral interiors. Also, a lot of organic, owing shapes, such as curved furniture, circular shaped pieces, and unique forms are becoming popular. The owner must be at least 62 years old or be married to someone who is at least 62 years old. The limit on a home price is $970,800. The loan must be used on a primary residence. TALK ABOUT HOW THE LIFESTYLE HOME LOAN PROGRAM WORKS. Mutual of Omaha introduced its Lifestyle Home Loan program this year for those interested in purchasing a retirement home. A companion program called the Lifestyle Home Loan Renance allows owners to renance their house. This loan program is insured by the Federal Housing Administration. It allows buyers to get a house for about 55%-60% out of pocket and have no monthly mortgage payment or compounding interest. “The benet to this person is that as they head

WHEN DOES THE LIFESTYLE HOME LOAN GET REPAID? This loan is paid back when the home is resold, whether due to a move or a death. Borrowers keep any equity left after the sale.
Owners must still pay all property taxes and homeowner’s insurance. They must also maintain the home and cover any homeowner’s association dues.
