ACHANGINGPOPULATION Data from the 2020 decennial census released in September by the U.S. Census Bureau shows how residential populations within cities, school district boundaries and counties have changed over the last decade. Local demographics have also changed as more residents have moved to the Austin area. Racebreakdownover time As minority populations grew, the percentage of residents who identify as white declined from 2010-20 in each locality. Both Austin and Travis County saw large jumps in individuals identifying as two or more races.
