A Christmas tree or wreath from Brungot Farms is more than just a Christmas decoration. It gives Hope to hundreds of families around Central Texas as part of Brungot Farms H.O.P.E. For Christmas project. Now in its ninth year, Brungot Farms sets up the weekend before Thanksgiving at the Twin Lakes YMCA, and has turned the community’s annual purchase of a Christmas tree or wreath into a fundraiser to help families who are less fortunate during the holidays. H.O.P.E. stands for Help Other People Every day, and our customers have done just that, with thousands of dollars going every year to organizations like Hill Country Community Ministries (HCCM). The funds raised, like the $5,000 presented this past June, go toward helping fund HCCM’s annual holiday meal campaign. It will cost HCCM over $20,000 to feed nearly 500 families this holiday season, with distribution set to begin November 7th. H.O.P.E. for Christmas not only provides resources for food, but also provides Christmas trees for families in need, through organizations like Lifeworks Austin, as well as handmade wreaths to decorate the rooms of the Ronald McDonald House near Dell
