The shop also carries houseplants, evergreen shrubbery and cactuses. “Everything here is either native or adapted; we don’t carry things that just won’t work here,” said Cathy Wood, North Austin location operations manager. Wood said houseplants became a big draw for the business during the COVID-19 pandemic when people started working from home. Winter Storm Uri in February 2021 also forced homeowners to replace the majority of their plants, she said. “Our goal is to make Austin the most creative landscaped area in the country. We have the creativity and resources to make it a reality,” Wyatt said.

Seever has a degree in horticulture from Texas A&M University and previously managed other nurseries. The business has a location at 5700 W. Hwy. 290, Austin, as well as a North Austin shop. Wyatt holds a degree in agriculture and owned a plant nursery called Emerald Green, before Seever joined him and the location became
