There are many ways to enjoy fall in the Central Texas area, whether it is checking out a family-friendly festival, picking the perfect pumpkin at a patch or getting lost in a spooky haunted house. Note: The information for each event is accurate as of press time but is subject to change.

This outdoor event will include activities such as rubber duck races, train rides, animals to visit and pumpkin photo- ops. This year’s event will also scale back some of the tree farm’s regular activities, such as the corn maze and pumpkin decorating. 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. (Sat.), noon-

There will also be three contests to enter: the hairiest man contest, costume contest and chili contest. 8 a.m. (Hairy Man 5K), 11 a.m. (festival opens). Free admission.
