The owners of the Hill Country Galleria are hosting two town halls in September to give resi- dents insight into the shopping center’s future. One was held Sept. 14, and the next one will be Sept. 19 from 6-7 p.m. at the Bee Cave City Hall, 4000 Galleria Parkway, Bee Cave. The owners of the outdoor shopping and din- ing area and their consultant team will discuss their long-term goals to increase the overall retail customer base, add more green space and enhance the pedestrian experience. Leander ISD starts school year with 142 vacancies

We lost more teachers this year than we have before, and so we have more positions that we have to ll.” Although LISD was not able to ll all positions before the start of the school year, the number of vacancies, both campus and noncampus, has decreased since July. At the July 21 board meet- ing, the district reported 208 campus vacancies with 95 of those being teacher positions. Noncampus vacancies in transportation, special programs, custodial services and child nutrition were at 402 in July, but that number decreased to 320 by mid-August.
