Are we heading for some conflict on the Federal Reserve? A new Fed Chair coming in and the previous Fed Chair staying on the Board. The bias has been for more accommodating monetary policy. But recent inflation data has created disagreement on the FOMC and now it might be 50/50 as to whether the next move we see by the Fed is a rate cut or a rate hike. That is a totally different narrative than what we began the year with. Add in the Iran war and spiking oil prices and there is a lot for investors to deal with these days.
