COMING SOON 10 A new skate park is in the works at Gregg-Clarke Park , located at 1231-1301 W. Center St., Kyle. The Kyle City Council approved a $1 million contract with Skateparks of Austin or SPA Skateparks Dec. 6 for the design and construction of a new skate park. Part of the funding for the skate park will come from the city’s 2020 bond, which will be matched by Hays County. Design and construction are expected to take around seven months with an end of 2023 estimated completion. 512-262-3939. www.cityofkyle.com RELOCATIONS 11 Dibdee food truck closed in late December and reopened Jan. 5 at Willie’s Joint Bar & Grill, 824 Main St., Buda, in a
more permanent fixture. The food truck was previously located at 400 Main St., Buda, and will remain there to become the new home for Gotji’s Kitchen, another food truck by the same owners in the same food truck park. FEATURED IMPACT COMING SOON The Kyle City Council approved a restaurant incentive agreement with Spoon & Fork Thai Kitchen Dec. 20. The restaurant will receive a 100% sales tax rebate during its rst three years of business and is expected to open this summer. The new restaurant will be located within the Kyle Crossing Phase 2 development, on the border of FM 1626 and Marketplace Avenue. “We want to create a family go-to place, a friends reuniting spot, a
date night destination [and] a place that brings everyone together, as we strongly believe that relationships can blossom over a good meal,” Chef and Co-Owner Thana Trepetch said. www.spoonandforkkitchen.com
