Items such as charcuterie boards and the pesto chicken, tomato and mozzarella atbread are some of the business’s most popular dishes, Conant said. Conant said one of her proudest business accomplishments thus far has been creating The Classy Cork Wine Club. Customers can join the club for $45-$65 per month and receive two bottles of wine each month as well as discounts, early access to the wine menu and other perks. The Classy Cork also holds events throughout the year, such as game nights, wine tastings, bingo, live music and trivia. Conant said she believes her wine bar is perfect for a community of wine lovers because it is an intimate size and her sta is knowledgeable and attentive. “We have some great customers and ... [have] developed some great friendships that will be long term just from here,” Conant said. “We’re the neighborhood wine bar. Many of our regulars are ... like family.”

said she has always loved wine, yet she still learns something new about the beverage each day. “I like the fact that you can never know everything there is to know about wine,” Conant said. “I like the experiences that go along with it, the food pairing, and just the friendships that you establish just by sitting in here and drink- ing wine and talking about travels and food.” On Nov. 3, the wine bar cele- brated its one-year anniversary since opening on Kuykendahl Road in Spring. Conant’s business serves a selection of boutique wines—meaning wines that are not sold at big chain stores— which are curated monthly. The menu sports wines from all over the world with the top sellers typically being dry reds, Conant said. Half of The Classy Cork’s wine oerings are available by the glass, while the rest can be purchased by the bottle. “A lot of our customers, our regulars, have traveled extensively, so they’re very knowledgeable of wines when they walk in the door,” Conant said. “That’s what they’ve
