Sandra and Clifton Lott, Jr. are entrepreneurs, with experience owning a water solutions company, car lot, bookkeeping business and hair salon. The couple decided to venture into the restaurant business after taking a trip to New Orleans. The Lotts wanted to open a similar chicken and daiquiri spot to the ones they visited, with bright colors, clean music and good food. The family opened Thirsty Chicken in 2021. “We like to have a good time,” Sandra Lott said. “But I’m not trying to go party on 6th Street with the youngsters. I’m like, ‘Where can I hang out that has clean music that I can bring my 16-year-old?’” On the menu The restaurant serves chicken wings with an array of sauces, called Bird Baths, to toss them in. Side items include fried pickles, fried cauliower bites and the Clucked Up Fries, which are chili cheese fries with the option to add chopped chicken tenders on top. The most popular wing avors include the Cajun and the hot honey Cheeto dry rubs, said general manager Cli Lott. All recipes are made from scratch and developed by their son, Rycherd Lott. Everything is made to order in-house and is never frozen, Sandra Lott said. The restaurant also sells alcoholic and nonalcoholic daiquiris for all ages. Thirsty Chicken serves a variety of cereal-avored daiquiris, wine daiquiris and a build-your-own option. “We’re really big on oering a place for families Thirsty Chicken brings vibrant avors and atmosphere to Leander
