13 Allen R. Baca Center for Senior and Community Activities The senior center celebrated 20 years of serving the greater Round Rock community in April. The center first opened in March 2006, as one of the first city-owned senior centers in the area. At the time, it was also one of the largest at 29,000 square feet. It is named for Allen R. Baca, who worked with the city to open the city’s original Round Rock Senior Activity Center on Main Street in 1993. • 301 W. 11 Healing Hearts Animal Urgent Care The practice is intended to fill a gap between primary veterinary services and emergency room services, offering urgent medical care for pets experiencing symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, ear infections, wounds or injuries, allergic reactions, limping or sudden discomfort. Staff will evaluate pets, provide treatment and offer owners guidance for the next steps. The care center, which will also provide advanced surgical
14 3rd Level Brewing The brewery closed in April amid filing for bankruptcy, owner Clint Bradley shared via social media. The brewery was opened in June 2023 by Ross Winner, Clint Bradley and Amy Bradley, with a gaming and nerd-culture driven spin on its interior. Many of the beers on tap at 3rd Level were inspired by classic comics and games.
