While her most popular service is newborn photography, Kelly Richman said she created her photography business to serve mothers. Richman grew up shooting photography as a hobby, but started taking it more seriously when she became a mother. After experiencing a traumatic pregnancy and birth, she said she realized how important documenting her family was to her. Richman’s experience with motherhood changed the way she viewed photography and inspired her to pursue her hobby di erently. Friends, and then friends of friends, started asking for her pictures, and in 2014, she o cially founded Lifetime of Clicks Photography.
What’s di erent As Richman’s business grew, she noticed how stressful planned shoots could be for mothers. She described seeing how often moms will focus on getting their family picture-perfect, but then have no time to get ready themselves. This spurred her to create a walk-in closet in Lifetime of Clicks’ studio, where moms can pick out an out t for themselves and for their kids, as well as get their hair and makeup done, before a shoot. “Being able to just show them how fun it is, and share that memory or that milestone, means so much,” Richman said. Additionally, the studio o ers custom framing services and even o ers photo installations.
