Rockabilly Brewing concocts cold ones in Hutto

The setup Tucked away on the south side of Hutto, the brewery’s covered patio and bar is surrounded by a canopy of live oak trees, o ering patrons a view of the hills leading into the city, while fans keep a breeze owing through the open-aired space. The brewery features TVs, playscapes and a bouncy house. A food truck, BBQ Fiends, also sits outside with brisket, ribs and more on the menu. “We found this place and it just spoke to us,” Brandi said. “We wanted it to be a space; not just a brewery.”
In April 2023, Jimmy and Brandi Calhoun opened Rockabilly Brewing in Hutto, with the goal of providing the community a place for beer lovers and their families to gather. “We gured, ‘Why not? Let’s do something that we love to do, that we can do as a family and actually enjoy going to work,’” Brandi said. Respecting the craft Homebrewers turned professionals, the Calhouns opened the brewery with a tangerine cream ale on tap. The couple has worked with Texas Beer Company to brew the Tangerine King ale while they build their own brewhouse. The brewery has four other beers in the works to eventually serve as mainstays, including an amber,
