4 Texas Children’s The Woodlands The hospital began oering a Behavioral Health Intensive Outpatient Program in 2024 to provide support and serve adolescents age 12-17 who struggle with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and emotion regulation diculties, according to information from the hospital. Services through this program reects the needs of adolescents and include skills-focused groups, individual therapy, family therapy, music and mindfulness based interventions as well as caregiver support, medication management and discharge planning. Adolescents attend therapy three days a week for three to four hours each day and generally spend between six to eights weeks in the program, according to the hospital.
5 HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe The hospital received certied Comprehensive Stroke Center designation from DNV Healthcare USA Inc. in January, the highest level of certication for stroke care, meaning the hospital can handle the most complex stroke cases 24/7. It was also awarded Magnet designation with distinction from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Conroe campus is the rst hospital in the HCA Healthcare system as well as the fth in the state of Texas to earn the Magnet designation with distinction, according to HCA. The status is awarded to health care organizations based on nursing processes and patient care.
6 HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball was redesignated as a Maternal Level II facility in March, according to information from the hospital. The facility oers care for mothers and pre-term infants. According to the hospital, it aims to provide care within the community to prevent the need for travel to the Texas Medical Center. In addition, the hospital’s Outpatient Mental Health Program opened in May 2024. According to information from the hospital, it provides tailored mental health services in the Tomball area to treat a variety of conditions including depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, mood disorders, bipolar disorders, suicidal ideation, grief, stress or trauma and others.
