She said she is able to combine two of her passions—baking and Vietnamese cuisine—at Cakes N’ Mor. “There were many times my mother struggled to make ends meet or put food on the table for me and my seven siblings,” she said of her time growing up in Vietnam. “We made the most with the food that was available to us, but I savored every chance I got to enjoy the street food fromVietnam.” The shop oers custom cakes, cupcakes, cake balls, pastries, cookies, Vietnamese sandwiches and Vietnamese-inspired coees and teas. The sta can customize nearly anything on the menu to the customer’s liking for the best experience possible, she said. “We are just a small business doing what we love, and if we could bring just a little bit of joy to one person with something as small as a cup- cake, it would all be worth it to me,” Truong said.
