Cookies, Cupcakes and More Hutto business looking to change name to Stardust Cafe, expand menu B ig changes are in the works at Hutto bakery Cookies, Cupcakes and More, but the business will still sell its signature baked treats. “Right now, we do custom cakes, custom sugar cookies that are dec- orated with real icing,” Terry said. “We do have cupcakes, [and] we have cookies in the case every day.”

mind: Stardust Cafe. “I look out the window, and all these people are going [to other downtown businesses],” Terry said. “People are hungry. They want real food. They’re not coming here to sit down and have a cupcake.” Among her expansion plans, she said she would also like to convert the bakery’s backyard into an outdoor seating area. Additionally, she plans to add more seating inside and potentially make some adjustments to the interior to use the building’s history as a bank. Terry said she hopes to begin executing the plan later this year. “It’s just going to be a whole other side of the business that doesn’t exist right now,” Terry said. “That’ll be a totally dierent draw.”

This is according to Darrian Noel Terry, who bought the business in September 2021 after it rst opened in March 2020. When she saw the Cookies, Cupcakes and More business listed for sale, Terry enlisted the help of a friend with experience as a baker to help her get things running. The bakery’s menu includes a selection of cupcakes, cookies, cakes and brownies. For now, customers can take their pick of fresh-baked items in the display case or order something custom from the menu.

The selection of ready-made items in the display case varies daily, but Terry said the Red Velvet and carrot cake cupcakes are her top sellers. Customers can also order custom cakes and cupcakes in any combination of avors the shop carries. As for the near future, Terry said she has her eyes on an extensive rebrand that even includes a new name. She wants to expand the business’s oerings to include savory foods, coee, and possibly beer and wine. She also has a new name in
