Conroe ISD is opening three new schools in August as part of the $653.57 million bond referendum voters approved in November 2019, including one in the Grand Oaks feeder zone. Outside The Woodlands area, Veterans Memorial Intermediate
School and Moorhead Junior High School will open in the Caney Creek feeder. In addition to new schools, renovations funded by the bond package are wrapping up at two schools in The Woodlands area.

OVERCROWDING RELIEF Conroe ISD’s enrollment is expected to surpass 73,000 students in 2023-24. With an enrollment at 102% of its facilities’ maximum capacity, the district’s new schools opening in August are expected to help bring some relief to overcrowded campuses.
