Williamson County’s population has grown by 20% in the past five years, positioning it as one of the fastest-growing counties in Texas and the United States. Cities like Georgetown, Cedar Park, and Round Rock consistently rank among the nation’s 100 fastest-growing cities, highlighting the rapid growth and expanding communities in the region. This growth necessitates exceptional coordination to maintain timely and effective emergency services for ESD9 residents. - U.S. Census Bureau
The primary goal of an ESD (Emergency Services District) is to provide timely emergency services, especially in rural or underserved areas. In Williamson County, fire and emergency resources are managed by municipalities, creating service gaps. Since 2006, ESD9 has been the community partner bridging these gaps by coordinating with fire and emergency services across the county.
