Countdown to the Cup The event is a 5K and community fun run, which is set to happen at The Sound At Cypress Waters. The family- friendly event is hosted with the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee and is a way to celebrate the biggest sporting event coming to North Texas, according to the event website. All participants will receive an official race shirt, finisher medal and entry into either the live or virtual 5K event. FC Dallas Soccer Celebration The event will be a multi-week community fan experience that will transform Simpson Plaza, in front of Frisco City Hall, into a fan zone for the duration of the tournament. Every World Cup match will be shown at the celebration with a festival-style atmosphere. The experience will include unique watch-party pods, large viewing screens, interactive activations, live music on a central stage, retail specials, and a curated lineup of local food and beverage options for 39 days. FIFA Fan Festival Dallas Fair Park will be turned into a 1 million-square-foot celebration zone with live broadcasts, concerts, games, food and culture for the duration of the tournament though more details on hours have not yet been released. The pavilion will feature live
