Veterans Day Ceremony Each year, the cities of Schertz, Cibolo and Selma partner with The Chamber (Schertz-Cibolo-Selma area) to honor area veterans. The event this year will be hosted by the city of Selma at the new Heroes Memorial, which completed construction in May. Casino Night The Schertz-Cibolo-Selma Lions Club will host the 13th Annual Casino Night, raising funds for programs the organization hosts throughout the year. Hal Baldwin Scholarship Golf Tournament Each year, Schertz high schoolers have an opportunity to earn the Hal Baldwin Memorial Scholarship. To raise funds for the scholarship, a golf tournament will be open to businesses, individuals or organizations that want to help with fundraising. Veterans Day dedication The Homestead Residential Master Community in Schertz will host a Veterans Day event, which will also dedicate a community walking trail. Six benches are being installed along the trail, each adorned with plaques honoring different branches of the military.
