She also added s’more skewers, s’more bowls, milkshakes, hot drinks, cookies, fudge, trues and more. All treats feature some of the proprietary Mallow Box marshmallows. When people tell Ware they do not like marshmallows, she asks them to try hers. “I went from the most sugary thing to the most chewy stretchy thing you can imagine until I got to a recipe I felt comfortable with,” Ware said.

She started giving her marshmal- lows as gifts to friends and posting her creations on social media. In 2019, she received an email from a Nordstrom sta member in Stone- briar Centre asking if she wanted to participate in a community program where the business sets up a table in Nordstrom’s to sell their wares. Until this point she was not an ocial business, but this invitation motivated her to launch Mallow Box in 2019, which led to a store front in the Shops of Willow Bend. In August 2020, she opened the current location in Legacy Food Hall. Over time her menu has expanded. “I had a bunch of customers

set out to open a business. In fact, she said, “It was a very accidental thing.” She was looking for something dierent to make for her husband’s birthday and went to Pintrest for inspiration. “I saw these marshmallows dipped in chocolate,” she said. “I tried to make them, and I really didn’t like the store-bought marshmallows. I thought the texture was horrible.” Her background is in marketing, so she researched the market for marshmallows and found there was a large market. “I thought, ‘Maybe I can make
