4 businesses new to downtown McKinney Several new businesses and restaurants have opened in downtown McKinney in recent months, ranging from a clothing boutique to an ax-throwing venue. The setup The downtown McKinney-area is home to over 120 independently owned businesses, according to the city of McKinney’s website. The businesses include restaurants serving a variety of cuisines along with wineries and dessert shops. The McKinney square is also home to a num- ber of boutiques and shops oering products, such as clothing, antiques, home goods, art and gifts. Also of note The downtown area has seen other recent busi- ness changes including the acquisition of Hamm’s Meat and Market by McKinney residents Noah and Lacey Hester. Farm-to-table restaurant Harvest recently reopened under a new name following a relocation on the downtown square in October. Ice cream shop Cocktail Creamery also moved to a new location on the square in September.
