Harris County Precinct 3 is planning several asphalt improvement packages in the Spring-Klein area as well as new traffic lights to improve safety, traffic flow and mobility. The details Precinct 3 officials said the following asphalt projects are in the design phase: • Portions of Spring Cypress Road east of I-45 • Portions of Louetta Road between Cutten Road and I-45 • Portions of Hargrave Road near Hwy. 249 • Portions of Old Town Spring • Dowdell Road from Kuykendahl Road to FM 2920 Most projects will consist of reconstructing the surface material and scattered repairs where there are failures, but the Dowdell Road portion as well

as areas of Old Town Spring will be fully recon- structed, officials said. "Reconstruction requires that you remove the existing surface, base and subbase material and reconstruct the roadway from the ground up. This is done for roadways in very poor conditions," said Jeannie Peng, communications manager for Precinct 3. Construction timelines and costs have not yet been set. What else? New traffic lights are also in the works. Projects are in the design phase at: • Gosling Road at Hampton Pointe Boulevard • Kuykendahl Road at Cypressdale Drive • Stuebner Airline Road at Five Forks Drive
