Lavender Hill Spa Local spa strives to decrease stress through pampering T ammy Hamilton said she relied on massages to help with health issues she was experi- encing. However, she found local massage businesses to be subpar. “I felt like there could be more,” Hamilton said. “I wanted to oer something dierent that was holistic and healing, and you felt pampered.” Another problem she noticed as a consumer was the hour-long massage she paid for was not a 60-minute service. To ll what she saw as a void, Hamilton opened Lavender Hill Spa in Keller Town Center in 2016. “I wanted to give that full hour to the client, and I wanted them to feel like they are important,” she said. “When you’re stressed, what do you need? You need to feel like you’re special. You need pampering.” When arriving for a massage, clients will explain why they are there, then the pampering ensues. Prior to the massage, clients go to a dressing room where they undress to their comfort level, put on a plush lavender-colored robe, relax in a recliner with a heated neck wrap and, if they choose, enjoy a class of lavender champagne. “We tell people to get here early so they can enjoy relaxing,” Hamilton said. Massage services include Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, lymphatic and more. Facials and eyelash services are also oered. In 2022, due to business growth, Lavender Hill Spa doubled its square footage. Hamilton also owns The Design Studio, located next to her spa where she is a general contractor and interior designer. Wielding this skillset, she selected everything for the renova- tion from paint colors to chandeliers. Hamilton said she has changed some things over the six years she’s been in business, but a key aspect remains consistent. “Our purpose and goal have always been the same—natural holistic healing through touch,” she said.
