All of this parkland has been purchased over the years with park fees as well as Community Development Corporation and city bond dollars.

Before building a park, city ocials gather community feedback and conduct assessments to determine features and amenities. This process was done with the Old Celina Park Playground, which includes a water feature, a multiuse court, slides, swings and climbing equipment.
