Cedar Park raises New Hope and Scottsdale Drive speed limits Cedar Park City Council voted to increase the speed limit on sections of Scottsdale Drive and New Hope Drive at its April 24 meeting. What you need to know The speed limit increased from 40 mph to 45 mph on New Hope Drive from 183A Toll to Cottonwood Creek Trail, according to the documents. On Scottsdale Drive, from 183A Toll to 2000 feet south of Volta Drive, the speed limit increased from 30 to 35 mph. The speed limit was also raised from 35 to 40 mph from 2000 feet south of Volta Drive to New Hope Drive.

“The RCI Adventure Course will be unlike anything currently available to our community, oering adventure for everyone from children to young adults,” said Je Andresen, CEO of YMCA of Central Texas, in a news release. The facilities are slated to open in spring of 2026.
Visitors to Austin’s Zilker Park will have an easier time getting around this summer. On May 24, Austin Parks and Recreation began oering free, air-conditioned shuttle services from the Stratford parking lot to popular Zilker park amenities, like Zilker Metropolitan Playground, Barton Creek and Barton Springs Pool. What you need to know The seasonal services, called The Zilker Loop, are
intended to help reduce weekend trac jams. The Zilker Loop will oer rides Saturday and Sunday 12-6 p.m., running every 15-20 minutes. Weekend and holiday parking at Zilker Park costs $3 per hour; however, the rst two hours of parking fees in the Stratford Lot can be waived in the Park ATX App. The service will be oered through Sept. 1 and operate during summer holidays.
The 11,858-square-foot Avery Family Pavilion will serve as a community meeting space that people can use year-round for special events, family gatherings and special YMCA programming. The RCI Adventure Course will feature zip lines, ropes courses, a sky trail and multi-level climbing structures, which are designed for people of all ages.
