Nur said there are ways of seeing how the plan will come into eect. “Any zoning case that comes to us, we’re going to refer to the [comprehensive] plan more and more to make sure it arms the vision that we have set,” she said. One development that is coming, Argyle Landing, is a mixed-use development near I-35 that will bring 198 single-family homes and a couple of commercial pads, Nur told Community Impact in January. Sally Aldridge, president and CEO of the Metroport Chamber, which includes Argyle, said the new plan will not have an immediate impact as commercial growth for the remaining portion of town will take a few years.
