Otto’s Cheese Shop has a larger selection of white and red wines.
“I really like it when I get to hear how our regular customers are using their new cheese knowledge,” Bob Pineda said. Otto’s Cheese Shop sells cut-to-order sharp cheddars, blues, Brie and more. The shop also sells customizable gift boxes and cheese boards. Other projects After releasing a book called “The Texas Cheese Trail” in 2024, the Pinedas are looking to continue growing Otto’s in New Braunfels. Rachel Pineda said they are also getting ready to release a documentary about cheeses throughout Texas, which is similar to the content of the “The Texas Cheese Trail” book the duo released.
Bob and Rachel Pineda have been cheese connois- seurs since opening Otto’s Cheese Shop in 2021. Since then, the husband-and-wife duo had out- grown their original location o Landa Street—and moved into a larger, more event-friendly space in May. What’s new With its new location, the cheese shop can host public and private events, classes, and dinners. “We’ve also incorporated a menu for people to come and sit, and have a glass of wine and a meal,” Bob Pineda said. Otto’s Cheese Shop also has a recurring schedule of events each month, including a mozzarella-mak- ing class.
