East Louisiana Street infrastructure Improvements Louisiana Street closed to through traffic between SH 5 and Throck- morton Street starting June 30 for the construction of the roundabout at Louisiana Street and Greenville Street. Detour traffic will be routed on Virginia Street. The closure is expect- ed to last until September. The overall project is expected to be complete in early 2024. Timeline: June 2022-early 2024 Cost: $9 million Funding sources: city of McKinney, North Central Texas Council of Gov- ernments

Virginia Street and Throckmorton Street infrastructure improvements The Virginia and Throckmorton Infrastruc- ture Improvements project is under design and expected to begin construction in the fall. Virginia Street and Throckmorton Street will be reconstructed surrounding the future City Hall site. Improvements will include underground utilities, street reconstruction, roadway illumination, hardscaping and landscaping as well as a single-lane roundabout at the streets’ intersection. Construction timing will be dependent on the construction of the East Louisiana Street project. Timeline: fall 2023-late 2024 Cost: $6 million Funding source: city of McKinney

White Avenue sidewalk addition Construction of sidewalks will happen along White Avenue from Redbud Boule- vard to North Tennessee Street. The project includes the construction of sidewalks and Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant improvements, according to the city’s capital improvement plan. The design phase will begin in the fall lat- er this year and construction is expected to begin by late 2024.

Water main replacements and street repairs The main replacements and street repair project on College Street, Davis Street, and Church Street is under design and expected to begin construction later this year. This project will reconstruct aging water and sanitary sewer lines, street paving, and sidewalks throughout the project limits. Timeline: late 2023-early 2025 Cost: $10 million Funding source: city of McKinney
