Westlake Country Club began renovations in 2022, with the rst phase of work focused on the site’s 18-hole golf course, according to the club’s website. The second phase involved reinventing the facility’s other sports o erings, from resurfacing tennis courts to improving the club’s three-story sports complex with new equipment and dedicated space for group tness classes. The third and nal phase included updates to the Main Clubhouse, rebranding the restaurant from “Creekside” to “Veranda,” doubling the amount of restaurant seating and expanding the patio.
“This was part of that vision to rebrand,” Wellner said. “New clubhouse, new name, new amenities, just a new foot forward.” However, Westlake Country Club isn’t the only local club that has undergone recent changes. Twin Creeks Country Club also completed multimillion-dollar transformations of its main and private dining rooms, bar, and lounge areas in early 2025, following upgrades to its Family Activities Center a year earlier. Meanwhile, River Place Country Club and Lakecli Racquet Club have big plans for 2026, o cials with both projects said.
From gol ng and racket courts to community activities and dining, country clubs mean something di erent to every member, said Zac Wellner, Westlake Country Club regional general manager. That’s why when Westlake Country Club rebranded from Lost Creek Country Club in 2022, it was about improving the member experience through an array of upgraded amenities, Wellner said. Westlake Country Club underwent three years of renovations, culminating in December with the opening of a new restaurant and deck.
