100 U.S. citizens sworn in at naturalization ceremony During a naturalization ceremony Feb. 24 at Lone Star College-Tomball, 100 candidates were sworn in as U.S. citizens. In a nutshell This was the third naturalization ceremony
Hazard mitigation plan updated by county Commissioners Court approved updating Montgomery County’s hazard mitigation plan March 4. New procedures for calling disaster decla- rations and handling emergency situations were added to remain in compliance, said Jason Millsaps, executive director of the county’s O ce of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. “We have another ood and now all of a sudden we have new oodways, but we don’t have to come back and go through an entire rewrite of that plan,” Millsaps said. “We can just do an appendix and update it as we see t through the next ve years.”

What they’re saying “Today, you have become part of something great—America,” Quinn said at the ceremony.
The new U.S. citizens also had the opportunity to take photos with the judge after the ceremony.

“Preparing for U.S. citizenship requires focus and sacri ce,” Hardman said during the ceremony. “And for many of you, it meant putting other aspects of your life on hold. But today we celebrate because the pause ends, and your step into a world of new opportunities begins.”
