Celina’s Ownsby Parkway sees new lanes Construction to add four lanes to a portion of Ownsby Parkway is on schedule to nish in December. It will go from two to six lanes once complete. “If you live near Carter Ranch, thank you for being patient with us,” Assistant City Manager Kim Brawner said at a Jan. 9 Celina City Council meeting. “We’re working through it as quickly as we can.” The breakdown The project tackles the two-lane Ownsby Park- way from Preston Road to Coit Road, according to Celina’s capital improvement projects database. Construction on the $19 million project began in October and it is funded by the city of Celina. “It’s a signicant investment in Celina’s infra- structure,” Brawner said.

Construction begins on Coit Road, US 380 Work to add another turn lane at the inter- section of US 380 and Coit Road has begun. Contractors started construction on an additional left-turn lane for the intersection the week of Feb. 5. The details The $250,000 project is funded by the town of Prosper and is expected to nish sometime in late spring, according to the project database.

The construction project is expected to add four lanes to Ownsby Parkway in Celina.
