AllyAnne’s Kolache Kitchen oers homemade recipes Making homemade kolaches all started as a treat for AllyAnne and Je Thomas’ family or an occa- sional catering order.

The restaurant serves savory and sweet kolaches, including a maple pecan kolache ($2.50).

AllyAnne said she makes the bread and the jam that ll the sweeter kolaches from scratch. Many of the savory kolaches are lled with meat locally sourced from restaurants. “We just wanted to give something back that’s really good,” AllyAnne said. Since opening, the two have also come up with special recipes oered on weekends, such as a brisket kolache with jalapeno and pimento cheese and an Almond Joy-avored kolache. Next steps AllyAnne and Je said they want to add in more baked goods, and expand its catering side. “We’re here and we use really good ingredients, [and] make everything fresh daily,” Je said.

That was until September 2024, when AllyAnne and Je decided to move their ingredients into a building along FM 1488 in Magnolia. “I’m from Magnolia and really wanted a place that focused on kolaches and using really good ingredients,” Je, co-owner of AllyAnne’s Kolache Kitchen, said. What’s on the menu AllyAnne and Je said the business’s most pop- ular kolaches include brisket and cheddar, sausage and cheese, bacon, egg and cheese, blueberry and streusel as well as maple pecan.
